GitHub check-in
When asked whether he still had access to his old GitHub, Billy replied with a single word: “yes.” It’s a small confirmation that lands big for the 2013 repo story.

In 2013, Billy Markus (@BillyM2k, Shibetoshi Nakamoto) created an empty GitHub repo named randomcoin—a quick test that never shipped. Thirteen years later, the community brought the vision to life. The original creator receives 100% of creator rewards.

Billy has said it was just a quick test that did not go anywhere. But the name, ticker setup, and timing line up with a real spark—even if it never shipped back then.
On August 18, 2013, an empty repository called
randomcoin appears under Billy’s GitHub—a breadcrumb from the era before
Dogecoin took over the timeline.
Billy has talked openly about Doge’s early “random rewards (between 1–1m) cuz i thought it’d be funny,” and that he never got rich off Doge. This project is a different chapter: community-led, with creator fees routed back to him.
After thirteen years, the vision is finally live—with the original creator receiving 100% of creator rewards. The story continues in public, one claim and one post at a time.

Live snapshot via GMGN (install the same toolkit with
npx skills add GMGNAI/gmgn-skills and configure
GMGN_API_KEY server-side). Figures align with what you
cross-check on pump.fun and Solana explorers; creator fee totals update as
the pool trades.

The big number above is SOL from pump creator-fee claims to the claims wallet (summed via GMGN activity, same idea as Solscan). Pool fees in the grid are a separate GMGN market metric (~151 SOL area), not withdrawals. While this tab stays open, the page refetches from GMGN about every 30 minutes so new claims can appear without a manual refresh.
Pool / AMM vault rows are hidden so the list matches what you expect from “holders,” not the duplicate LP row GMGN also returns as #1 “trader.”

About creator rewards: Billy has said he never got rich off Dogecoin. This deployment routes 100% of creator rewards on the pump side to the original creator—verify the flow on pump and in explorers, not just here.

Lore from the community: exactly ~16 minutes after Billy’s first creator fee claim, he posted a four-word tweet—an understated wink at “random.”
